Barry M. Panter, M.D. PhD
Barry M. Panter, M.D. PhD is a Fellow of The American Psychiatric Association. Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at The University of Southern California School of Medicine. (Emeritus) He is a Training and Supervising Analyst at The Southern California Psychoanalytic Institute (Emeritus). He is the first author and co-editor of Creativity and Madness—Psychological Studies of Art and Artists. He is the Founder and Director of The American Institute of Medical Education, a non-profit educational organization that provides continuing education to physicians, psychologists and other mental health professionals. The Institute has held over 100 conferences in The United States, Europe, and Australia, since its founding in 1982. He is a Fellow of The American Psychiatric Association, a past member of The American Psychoanalytic Association, and The International Psychoanalytic Association.
Lewis Mehl-Madrona, M.D. PhD
Lewis Mehl-Madrona, M.D. PhD is a Diplomate in Psychiatry, a member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, a Diplomate in Family Medicine, and a member of the American Board of Family Medicine. He also holds qualifications in Geriatric Medicine, and membership in the American Boards of Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. He holds a Ph.D., in Clinical Psychology, and an M.D., from Stanford University. He is the Training Director of the Coyote Institute for Studies of Change and Transformation, and has written over 100 journal articles and has published eight books.
Indal Seudeal, M.D.
Indal Seudeal, M.D., is an American Board of Internal Medicine Certified Sleep Specialist. He is also a pulmonologist in Harlingen, Texas and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Harlingen Medical Center and Valley Baptist Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Universite de L’Etat a Liege Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice for 30 years. He is one of 4 doctors at Harlingen Medical Center and one of 7 at Valley Medical Center who specialize in Pulmonary Disease.
Mitchell Liester, M.D.
Mitchell Liester, M.D., Psychiatrist is a Board certified psychiatrist in Monument, Colorado. He works with adults and children 12 years of age or older providing psychotherapy and/or medication management . His special areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, near-death experiences, and transpersonal psychiatry.
Christopher Martin, M.D.
Christopher Martin, M.D., Psychiatrist is a Professor, at the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine. He is Board Certified, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the Association for Academic Psychiatry, the Houston Psychiatric Society, the Texas Society for Psychiatric Physicians, and the American Psychiatric Association. He has lectured throughout the country and has published numerous journal articles.
Hava Glick-Landes – Media Coordinator
Hava Glick-Landes has been teaching mindfulness to elementary school children for the past 3 years, after being trained in the Mindful Schools Curriculum. Aside from teaching, Hava has been producing and editing educational videos related to mindfulness, yoga, Tantra and Traditional Chinese Medicine for the past seven years. Since beginning as an intern for Berkeley Community Media in 2006, she has continued to be an active producer of content for the public access TV station. She is an avid meditator and enjoys Zen study groups, and outdoor activities as well as working with children.
As Media Coordinator for the Academy, she brings a diverse set of skills and experience and is eager to advance her fluency in web related activities.
Lisa M. Clontz – Marketing Coordinator
Lisa M. Clontz has experience in sales, marketing, branding and social media. She coordinates the Academy’s Affiliate/Partnership network program as well as the Academy’s social media campaign. She is passionate about the Academy’s philosophy of Mindful Psychology and is intent on spreading the Academy’s mission of “transformation through education”. Lisa enjoys and pursues the East-meets-West approach and practices expressed through the Academy.
Lisa is also an avid artist in the arts of painting, writing and music.
Barbara Kessell – Content Coordinator
Barbara Kessell is our current psychology intern. Barbara comes to us with a strong background in HR, Labor Relations and Project Management. She is currently a student at Dominican University of California and expects to receive her BA in Psychology in 2015. Barbara plans to continue the study of Mindful Psychology at the grad school level. When she’s not studying, Barbara can be found at the Stapleton School of the Performing Arts where she has been acting and Assisting Directing community theatre for the past ten years.
